  2. If β is positive, the interpretation is that for every 1-unit increase in the predictor variable, the outcome variable will increase by the β value. Only significant values are presented in the figure. p-value is set at 0.05.
  3. Age is in years; anxiety is measured using the State Trait Anxiety Inventory; depression is measured using the Beck Depression Inventory. The maximum values for age, anxiety and depression in our study population were: 94 years (for age), 44 points on the Beck Depression Inventory (for depression), and 144 points on the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (for anxiety).
