Red areas in a, b represent zero-energy modes (with energy below 10 μeV at T = 10 mK), which correspond to narrow parity crossings from hybridized MZMs in a, and extended incompressible regions of MZMs pinned at zero energy in b. The total charge in the nanowire, panels c, d, increases by Q M jumps at each zero-energy crossing
