a Topological insulator film sandwiched between two conventional superconductors. b Majorana hinge modes in the nontrivial phase at finite field and uniform pairing (we removed the superconductors for clarity). c Topologically nontrivial stripes and Majorana corner modes in the nonuniform superconducting phase. The LO order parameter is modulated as Δ(r) ∝ eiQ⋅r. The Cooper pairs momentum Q is perpendicular to the in-plane magnetic field bxy.
