Paired box plots of reading comprehension scores (%) in the Standard and Streamlined conditions. Reading comprehension scores were higher in the Streamlined condition compared to the Standard condition. Boxplot center line identifies the median, the upper whiskers extend from the 75th percentile to the 75th percentile + 1.5 interquartile range, the lower whiskers extend from the 25th percentile to the 25th–1.5 interquartile range, ***p < 0.001. Data points were jittered in R by 0.03 to prevent overplotting (Team67). Note: One outlier (score of 28.57% in the Streamlined condition) is not displayed.
