F1 is associated with peritoneal cells shortly after vaccination. Representative dot plot analysis of gated cells isolated from the draining inguinal lymph node (ILN), spleen and peritoneal cavity (PerC) of mice (n = 6) vaccinated with labeled F1 (polymeric form, 80 μg/mouse, upper panel). Control mice were vaccinated with non-labeled F1 (n = 3, lower panel). FL1 and FL4 indicate fluorescence detected through 530/30 nm and 661/16 nm filters of a FACSCalibur™ flow cytometer (BD Bioscience), respectively.
