Hemagglutination and neuraminidase inhibition activity of serum antibodies were assayed on days 0, 28, and 49 after immunization as indicated in Fig. 2a. a Hemagglutination inhibiting titers (HAI titers) were calculated as the highest serum dilution abolishing the hemagglutination activity of H7N9-A/PR/8/34. b Neuraminidase inhibition was calculated as the 50% NA inhibitory concentration (IC50) after incubation of H7N9-A/PR/8/34 with mice sera in enzyme-linked lectin assay (ELLA). Dots represent single animals (n = 6); horizontal line represents mean per group.
