IFNγ secreting spot forming cells (SFC) in blood (ae) and BAL (eh) were enumerated following stimulation with a pool of peptides covering NP (a, f) and M1 (b, g) proteins or pH1N1 (c, g) and H3N2 (d, h) viruses. The red arrows indicate the time of pH1N1 challenge, immunizations with ChAdOx and MVA, and H3N2 challenge. Significant differences are listed in Table 1. Each symbol (circle, square, diamond and triangle) represents an individual animal, the top of the bar the mean and the line the standard error (SEM). Asterisks denote significance between indicated groups (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01) and were analyzed either by one-way ANOVA (a–d) and Bonferroni’s multiple comparisons test (g) when the data were normally distributed or with Kruskal–Wallis and Dunn’s multiple comparisons test when normality was not achieved (e, f).
