Distribution points (DP) were named with a suffix to indicate their cardinal direction in relation to the DWTP. The southern distribution points (DPS1-3) are downstream of each other, and numbered with respect to their distance from the DWTP (1 is closest). ■ = FCM data available, ▲ = samples taken for sequencing,  = samples taken for sequencing but not included in bioinformatics analysis (see Methods). b Total cell concentrations measured before and after the end of chloramination. Points represent measured TCC values. The solid line shows the modeled variation due to seasonal effects prior to the end of chloramination. The dashed, vertical line indicates when chloramination ended (January 20th, 2020).
