The violin plot whiskers represent the minimal and maximal values, the vertical lines indicate the first and third quartiles, the horizontal lines are means, and the white dots are the medians. The average reaction time for each non-amputee participant was used to normalize the thermal stimulation reaction time results and compare across individuals.
