On each box, the red line indicates the median, and the bottom and top edges of the box indicate the 25th and 75th percentiles, respectively. The whiskers extend to the most extreme data points not considered outliers. The y-axis indicates the deviation between the model outputs and the observations: if equal to 0, there is no difference between the model outputs and the observations; if equal to 2, the difference between the model outputs and the observations is two standard errors (SE). The values at the top of the panels correspond to the assigned SE for each parameter.
