Type I-a, microlites; I-b, large phenocrysts; Type II, patchy zoning; Type III-a, normal zoning and Type III-b, reverse zoning. α, β, and γ are angles between the measured profile and [100], [010] and [001] axes, respectively. DFe–Mg and Dprofile is diffusion coefficient along the [001] axis and the profile, respectively. The error calculation uses the same method as suggested by64.
