Each spectra is displayed according to the 96 substitution classification defined by the substitution class (colour in the graph) and sequence context immediately 3′ and 5′ to the mutated base. The mutation types are given on the horizontal axes, while vertical axes depict the frequency of each type. Mutations observed using ancestral state reconstruction from genomes observed in different hosts are given above while mutations observed within a host are given in the bottom panels.
