(a) The C. jejuni flagellin (PDB:6×80)29 has a three-stranded β-sheet and helix motif similar to that in V. cholerae flagellin FlaD, which is shielded by the outer surface of glycosylation sites. This motif was not observed in P. aeruginosa PAO127 (b), E. coli14 (c), or S. Typhimurium15 (d).
