COVID-19 infection causes several acute and longer-lasting life-threatening symptoms, including cytokine storm, oedema formation and fibrosis development. Dexamethasone nanomedicines may help to better manage the severity of these disease manifestations, promoting better control of life-threatening symptoms at the acute and intermediate phase, and more rapid and more complete recovery in the post-ICU phase.
