Binding was analyzed by flow cytometry. Numbers indicate the median side scatter intensity (MSI). The delta median side scatter intensity (∆MSI) was calculated by subtracting MSI of MWCNT-treated cells from MSI of untreated cells in Fig. 1c. The gating strategy is shown in Supplementary Fig. 12.
