  1. Some marine species can behaviourally thermoregulate; we therefore included adjustments to extreme hot body temperatures to account for the fact that many marine species could access cooler waters during the hottest times of the year. We also accounted for the fact that larger or more-mobile animals from the open ocean could better access cooler waters than smaller, less-mobile or coastal animals that were constrained by movement abilities or habitat availability.
