The WRI scores were calculated by multiplying visitation record data by the proportion of ice-free area per 25-km2 cell and the proportion of the ice-free area in the eight adjacent cells, a measure of ice-free area connectivity. Sites with WRI scores ≤20 are considered to have experienced negligible impact from human activity. *Impact categories: I, impacted; N, negligibly impacted.
