VITT samples (n = 4) were tested with increasing concentrations of heparin to investigate its effect on the binding of VITT antibodies to PF4. The experiment was repeated with technical duplicates independently twice with similar results. VITT antibody binding was disrupted by therapeutic concentrations and higher than therapeutic concentrations of heparin in all four VITT samples that were available for testing. Results are shown as the mean of the technical replicates. OD ≥ 0.45 is considered positive for anti-PF4 antibodies.
