tRNAs for Val3, Ile2 and Phe were isolated by CCC⁵². The other tRNAs were isolated by RCC²⁴. The isolated tRNAs and total RNA as a maker were resolved by electrophoresis on a 10% (w/v) polyacrylamide gel containing 7 M urea and 1 × TBE, and stained with SYBR Gold. Smearing of bands is due to the high GC content of tRNAs. The precursor tRNAs for Ile2 and Phe containing an intron are indicated by red triangles. 5S rRNA, Class II tRNAs, and Class I tRNAs are indicated. We confirmed the reproducibility of this result.
