For consistency of orientation between species, several specimens have been reflected, so that each is represented as being from the right side. Illustrations are based on previously published descriptions: Eusthenopteron28, Panderichthys2,3, Tiktaalik5, Elpistostege9, Acanthostega37, Ichthyostega30 and GSM 104536 (refs. 10,14).
