  1. The trajectory was run until a core hydrogen mass fraction of 0.01. The mixing model assumes that the trajectory represents a fraction of τmix = 0.0595 of the total reservoir such that burning reduced the H mass fraction in the trajectory to 0.01, consistent with the stellar model. The reference rate for just using the original REACLIB rates for all binary reactions is log(40Ca) = −12.02.
