In this figure we illustrate the influence of possible uncertainties on the diffusion coefficients in bridgmanite and periclase. For bridgmanite (Bdm) vacancy concentrations of 10−3 and 10−6 are considered. Creep in periclase is based on diffusion data of Ita and Cohen14 and Yoo et al.40. Whatever the set of data considered, bridgmanite always deform faster than periclase
