  1. Notes: N refers to the number of observations (not respondents). Higher ed. refers to the proportion of respondents who have completed higher education. Poor is defined as respondents indicating a gross household income less than 75% of the median. As many respondents refused to reveal their incomes, we included the share of missing data on this variable separately.
