The trend estimates of the individual studies were derived from the random effects of the hierarchical Bayesian model. The colours are coded according to the strength of evidence, in which the middle colour in both axes indicates that the 80% CI includes zero, hence, all other colours indicate weak to strong evidence of a temporal trend on either abundance, richness or both.
