Histidine, tyrosine, and cysteine can also be targeted with significantly varying degrees of labelling. b) Reaction scheme of oxidative cyclization reagents for chemoselective tryptophan bioconjugation. The Tryptophan Chemical Ligation by Cyclization (Trp-CLiC) method is highly tryptophan-selective and rapid, and it can generate stable cycloadducts with a diversity of payloads, facilitating antibody bioconjugation, unfolding stress detection, and reactive tryptophan profiling.
