Average (±sem) firing rate surrounding hippocampal LFP events. Firing rates within 40msec of each event and session mean were compared by repeated measures one-way ANOVA was performed for each cell type. F3,936 = 57.8, P < 0.0001 for FS, F3,1020 = 38.6, P < 0.0001 for nPC, F3,1248 = 49.3, P < 0.0001 for PC. Two-sided post-hoc pairwise comparisons with Bonferroni correction. Data were collected in the authors’ lab.
