Building block synthesis of high-value fluorochemicals using PFAS-derived fluorinating reagents (0.5-mmol scale unless otherwise stated). Yields of isolated products are reported. Detailed reaction conditions are stated in the Supplementary Information. ^aYield was determined by quantitative ¹⁹F NMR (in CDCl₃ using 4-fluoroanisole as an internal standard). ^bKF was isolated from a mixture of decomposed PFASs, including PFOS, PFOA, perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA), perfluorodecanoic acid (PFDA), PFOSA and 8:2 FTOH (Supplementary Information).
