The frequencies of the rs112233623-T and rs93429205-A alleles in Sardinian and other populations were calculated in individuals who had undergone whole-genome sequencing, from the SardiNIA cohort (1,577 unrelated samples51; red circles) and from 1KG (2,504 unrelated samples18; grey circles). The allele frequencies for each variant, calculated under a binomial model, are shown as point estimates for each sampled population, with error bars indicating the 95% confidence interval.
