Individual correlations between the SA axis and seven cortical microstructural indices (thickness, myelin [T1w/T2w], intracellular volume fraction (IC), soma, extracellular volume fraction (EC), fractional anisotropy (FA) and free water (FW)) were computed at each age and modelled with GAMMs including a cohort random effect. Curves show polarity-aligned mean fits with shaded 95% CIs.
