(a) Schematic of misselection assessment. For every tightly paired sister chromatid, a sliding window of three downstream loci are allowed to exchange with loci on the other sister. Bond probabilities between three upstream loci and three downstream loci are calculated. Original bond probabilities are compared to the cross-over probabilities to evaluate misselection.
