Extended Data Fig. 6: Dopaminergic neurons in the mouse brain imaged with the Schmidt objective.
From: Reflective multi-immersion microscope objectives inspired by the Schmidt telescope

A 5 mm-thick coronal slice of a mouse brain was stained for Tyrosine Hydroxlase (TH) using Alexa 594 as a secondary antibody and cleared using dibenyzl ether (DBE). a) Maximum projection of a single photon light-sheet (mesoSPIM) overview dataset of the sample. b) Maximum projection of a z-stacks taken at the highlighted location in a) using the Schmidt objective and two-photon excitation at 800 nm. c) & d) Maximum projections of stacks taken at higher zoom level showing individual dopaminergic neurons and spines on the cell body of a neuron (arrows). The images are examples from one of two imaged brain slices.
