A rooted phylogenetic tree prepared with the same sequences used to generate the unrooted tree in Fig. 1a is shown. For the Bayesian phylogeny estimate, branches are labeled with posterior probability to indicate the degree of support. The figure shows the 66% consensus tree, which shows every branch with support >0.66. The scale at the bottom provides an absolute scale for the amount of evolutionary change between any two tips (average number of amino acid changes per site).
