Author Correction: A virtual memory CD8+ T cell-originated subset causes alopecia areata through innate-like cytotoxicity

In the version of this article initially published, the text “anti-IL-15” in Fig. 3e, the corresponding figure legend and the “In vivo blockade of NKG2D and cytokines” section of Methods should have been “anti-IL-15Rβ.” In addition, to prevent any misunderstanding, in the sixth paragraph of the “CD44^s-hiCD49d^lo CD8⁺ T cells originate from T_VM cells” section of Results, we have revised the relevant description—“To further investigate the roles of IL-12, IL-15 and IL-18 in the development of CD44^s-hiCD49d^lo CD8⁺ T cells in vivo”—to read “… the roles of cytokines in the development…”.
