Performance as revealed by the number of 20S proteasome particles required for cryo-EM structure determination to achieve a certain resolution. The UFG (orange) exhibited superior performance in achieving a higher resolution with the same number of particles when compared with rough graphene (RG, blue). The Henderson B factors were extracted from the slopes of fitted lines (B factor=2/slope). The B factor of particles on UFG (97) was smaller than that on rough graphene (117).
