2x image frame interpolation of NONE, BIL, DAIN and ZS for Dictyostelium discoideum cells recorded on a spinning-disk confocal microscope. ZS creates smoother transitions and better-quality interpolation results than DAIN (see white arrow in zoomed-in section). SSIM/RMSE/PSNR values displayed in the zoomed-in interpolated images. CAFI tools clearly outperform NONE and BIL interpolations. Scale bar: 20 μm.
