In the version of the article initially published, ref. 36 was incorrect and has now been amended to “Dunsby, C. Optically sectioned imaging by oblique plane microscopy. Opt. Express 16, 20306–20316 (2008)”. In the “Imaging system and software” section of the Methods, “The virtual slit width was set to 13 μm at the image plane, which corresponds to 520 nm in the sample plane. This width spans two pixel lines on the camera sensor (pixel size of 6.5 μm)” has been changed to “The virtual slit width was set to 13 μm at the sample plane”. In the same section, the text “… as the slit width (13 μm) exceeds the axial PSF dimension (2.3 μm)” has been corrected to “… as the slit width (13 μm) exceeds the axial PSF dimension (2.61 μm)”. These corrections have been made to the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
