The flexible RecR protomer that was only partially visible in the cryo-EM reconstruction was modeled by superimposing the crystal structure of the Tt-RecR monomer (PDB ID: 5ZVQ) on the incomplete RecR subunit of the RecFOR-DNA model using N-terminal HhH motifs.
