The same models have been used to generate the data shown in panel (b). b) Comparison of the immature CA-CTD hexamer assembly. The main interaction interfaces described previously to stabilize the hexamer are annotated. The CA-CTD assembly unit in HIV-1 is described in9. For RSV and M-PMV the electron microscopy densities for the RSV SP and the M-PMV spacer peptide-like region are shown, as for these regions no molecular model has yet been obtained.
