Each tick on the outside of the plot corresponds to one population and the thickness of the lines is proportional to the total number of populations. Populations were excluded if the origin location within the native range was uncertain. Precise information on location was only available for 59 native-alien populations. The distribution of native-alien populations in South Africa was mapped using ArcGis52 (ESRI 2020). The circlize package in R53 (Gu 2014) was used to draw chord diagrams.
