The low R2 between the AMS and SMPS (- eBC) mass for the Oct-Dec period (R2 = 0.016) is due to the forcing of the linear fit through the origin (R2 = 0.576 when shifting the slope to y = 0.154x + 0.0249, corresponding to the dashed red line in the figure in panel (d)).
