  1. Metrics include median aboveground biomass and, in parentheses, the interquartile range (i.e., 25th to 75th percentiles) and number of field sites. Biomass was first averaged across sample plots within each field site and then summarized across field sites within each bioclimatic zone. Total aboveground biomass was only computed when all five plant functional types were measured on a sample plot.
