Two methods to generate transillumination images with different absorbances: In the method 1, blur-less images with an absorber of different absorbance are generated first (yellow arrows). Then, PSF convolution is applied to each blur-less image (gray arrows, processes (a), (b) and(c)); In the method 2, The result of the convolution with a unit absorbance (a) is multiplied by the corresponding absorbances (red arrows, processes (d) and (e)). The computational effort in method 2 is less than method 1.
