SNR vs. various 800 kHz ultrasound peak-to-peak pressures for three capillary-based ring resonators and a solid-core ring resonator. The physical dimensions of the capillaries are given in the legend of the plot. a is the outer diameter; t is the wall thickness. The slope in the linear region represents the ring resonator pressure sensitivity. The results show that larger resonators with thinner wall have higher pressure sensitivity, as predicted by Eqs (3) and (4). The temporal response for the data point in the orange circle is given in Fig. 2b.
