ROC curves of z-transformed total CERAD-NAB score and average total ECog score. The ROC curves were tested for the ability to discriminate between normally aging adults and patients with early stage probable AD. The AUC associated with the average total ECog scores was significantly higher than that associated with the z-transformed total CERAD-NAB score (AUC = 0.96, 95% CI = 0.94–0.99, sensitivity = 0.95, specificity = 0.86, cutoff point = 1.23; AUC = 0.82, 95% CI = 0.75–0.90, sensitivity = 0.85, specificity = 0.68, cutoff point = −1.01, respectively; P < 0.01).
