Dosing regimen scheme of busulfan in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) patients. Busulfan was administered once daily for 4 consecutive days and the area under the curve (AUC) was predicted from the pharmacokinetic (PK) modelling results. The solid line represents the predicted concentrations and open circles represent the observed concentrations at the sampling time (1, 2, and 4 h after the respective doses). According to the calculated AUC, the optimal dose was adjusted to meet the target AUC. †18,000–19,000 μg∙h/L/day, ‡Sum of the AUC during 4 days (74,000 μg∙h/L).
