Axial histological section at kidney (left) and corresponding T2-weighted image (right) at the central part of the kidney illustrate the placement of regions of interest along the boundaries of the anatomic zones of the renal cortex (CO) outer strip of the outer medulla (OSOM) and inner stripe of the outer medulla (ISOM). The ROI outlines were copied and pasted on the ADC, T1, and T2 maps for the measurements of ADC values, and T1and T2 relaxation times.
