Two amino acid substitutions in CspLOX1 induce 11-HPODE production. Chromatogram of the HPLC analyses of products formed by the Gly401Ala and the Gly401Ala/Ile617Leu variant of CspLOX1 as well as the wt of CspLOX2 and CspLOX1. While CspLOX1 only produces 9-HPODE, the Gly401Ala variant and the Gly401Ala/Ile617Leu variant produce significant amounts of the bis-allylic 11-HPODE that is characteristic for CspLOX2.
