From: Wandering behaviour prevents inter and intra oceanic speciation in a coastal pelagic fish

Minimum-spanning tree for the Old World Anchovies, based on the mitochondrial cytochrome b (1044 bp, 373 individuals). The colour and the size of the circles represent the geographic source (according to Fig. 1, with the exception of New Zealand haplotypes which are represented here in light brown) and frequency of each haplotype, respectively. The smallest colored circles represent a singleton haplotype. Black circles represent either extant unsampled sequences or extinct ancestral sequences. The length of the lines connecting haplotypes is proportional to the number of mutational differences separating the haplotypes, except when otherwise indicated.
