The effect of EPO on the levels of SOD (a), MDA (b) and ROS (c) in PC12 cells. PC12 cells were treated with 100 mM glucose and various doses of EPO for 48 h. DCFH-DA was used as a probe to evaluate intracellular ROS levels with a fluorescence microplate reader. The results are expressed as the mean ± SEM; n = 5. *P < 0.05 and ***P < 0.001 vs. the control treatment; # P < 0.05 and ## P < 0.01 vs. HG treatment.
