The effects of EPO on HG-induced apoptosis of PC12 cells in the absence or presence of LY. PC12 cells were treated with 100 mM glucose and various doses of EPO for 48 h in the absence or presence of 10 μM LY; if present, LY was added 2 h prior to HG and EPO treatment. Then, the PC12 cells were stained with annexin V-PE and 7-AAD, and the cells were analyzed by flow cytometry. (A) The extent of cell apoptosis, as determined by flow cytometry. (B) The apoptosis rates of PC12 cells receiving different treatments.
